Hua Lamphong Station

 

The Hua Lamphong Train Station is situated in the heart of the city in the Pathumwan District, Bangkok on Rama 4 Road. It's location provides easy access to the busy Chinatown, the Chao Phraya River, Silom and Sukhumvit vicinities. 

 

The exterior architecture features a dome-shaped hangar roof that was built in a  Neo-Renaissance Style housing a total of 26 ticketing counters, 14 train platforms and the station serves more than 130 trains. 

 

The station is the main train connection for the provinces in the Northern, Eastern, Northeastern and Southern parts of Thailand. 

 

The Hua Lamphong Train Station is also a terminus for the International Express to Malaysia and this connection has bolster trade and businesses between the two countries.

 

The station is scheduled to be closed in 2021 and it will be converted into a museum when it will change its official name to Hua Lamphong Station.
